The administration, faculty and staff of Holy Family School sincerely thank you for all your support, spiritually and financially during this year. We could not have come this far without you! As 2020 comes to a close, there is still time to make a tax-deductible donation to help ensure our success far into the future. God Bless you as we enter 2021!
The Diocese of Pittsburgh announced the Catholic school educators who are recipients of the Golden Apple Awards for 2020. Our very own, Mrs. DiLonardo was named as a Golden Apple winner. Congratulations to Mrs. Marie DiLonardo! The annual program recognizes educators for their outstanding devotion to Catholic schools and the students they teach. The awards are based on nominations from school principals, parents, students, and fellow teachers, and symbolize an educator's professional excellence, leadership, commitment to Catholic values, and devotion to teaching in Catholic schools. We are very blessed to have Mrs. DiLonardo at our school.
St. John the Baptist School & St. Joseph School recently merged to become Holy Family School. We are trying our best to update this website. There may be something that reads "St. John's". Please be patient as we make the proper corrections to this website. Thank you for your cooperation.
The 2019-20 school year was shaping up to be another outstanding year for St. John the Baptist Preschool & School! Our students were reaching outstanding academic achievements, enrollment, and retention continued to climb and fundraising was on track to fund many technology upgrades. Then in March 2020, the pandemic required us to transition to distance learning via online methods. This pandemic also caused many of our families to have financial hardships through lost jobs and reduced income and resulted in us canceling many of our profitable fundraisers. Our debt-free, financially stable school is now in danger of running a severe deficit as we continue to educate our students from preschool through 8th grade and pay our exceptionally talented and dedicated faculty. NOW MORE THAN EVER, we are asking our friends and alumni to make a donation to help us overcome this unprecedented hardship. Please also extend our request to your network of friends and family who value an excellent Catholic education.
St. John the Baptist Parish has operated a tuition assistance program for St. John the Baptist School families in need for many years, called the Father Bartley Angel Fund. To receive the funds, this form must be completed with truthful information. A committee will review all applications and determine if a tuition grant can be made. Of course, grants are not only based on need, but on available funds. Click to view application
