Katie Davison brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as a teacher at Holy Family Catholic School. She holds a major in Early Childhood Education with a Minor in Psychology and is ESOL Certified. Katie earned her degree from Washington & Jefferson College in 2006 and has since built a strong foundation in education.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Katie's journey has taken her from Hillsborough County, Florida, where she was nominated for Teacher of the Year, to St. Edmund's Academy in Pittsburgh before joining the HFCS community.
Katie finds immense fulfillment in integrating her faith into her teaching practice for the first time in her career. Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every student is capable of learning and thriving when presented with challenges. She derives joy from witnessing her students' academic achievements, big or small, and is particularly drawn to teaching in a Catholic school for the guidance provided by the Bible in navigating challenging subjects.
Beyond the classroom, Katie's personal life is marked by love, family, and an adventurous spirit. She met her husband during her time in Florida, and together they have three children: Jack (11), Caroline (6), and Madelyn (4). Proximity to family is important to Katie, as she lives just three blocks from her parents, with her brother as a neighbor. In her free time, Katie enjoys staying active, having played field hockey and water polo in college, and now indulges in reading, puzzles, and quality time with her children. She harbors a love for warm weather and the beach, considering it the ultimate destination.
