“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”
2 Corinthians 9:12
As members of the Catholic community we are called to serve one another each and every day. At Holy Family Catholic School, students not only have the opportunity to volunteer and serve the school community, they also share their faith and service to surrounding areas. Some of our school wide events include: Turkey Drive, Pie Push, and Mission Day. In addition, each classroom (K-8) has chosen an individual service learning project in which to be involved. These service learning experiences allow our students to live out their faith and truly be an example of God’s love.
Service learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.
